Who are you?
Bucket List Assistant helps you make small daily changes & define and achieve your Bucket List goals and dreams through personalized coaching and an online community of fellow Bucket Listers.
Why Did you start your business?
I started my business because I love helping others. We all get stuck in ruts, functioning on auto-pilot day to day, lacking the passion to dream, live, inspire and love. Sometimes we forget what our dreams are or we don’t take the time to plan and make our dreams achievable. I love reminding people of dreams they had forgotten, inspiring a new goal they had never imagined, and seeing them realize and experience those dreams.
What makes your business unique?
The Bucket List Assistant is a unique coaching business that encourages our clients to Dream, Live, Inspire and Love each day. The Bucket List Assistant Manifesto defines what that mindset means.
Where does your heart take you when your mind wanders? From the smallest, most humble desire to a seemingly impossible fantasy, allow yourself time to explore your dreams and goals. If you want to achieve something, add it to your “To Do” List!
This is your life! Are you who you want to be? Live as if each moment is your last, but dream, learn and plan as if you'll live forever. Focus on conscious living, appreciating this exact moment that you are alive. Don’t waste your time on negative meditation with regret and worry. With each new day, learn and try something new and visualize the steps you need to take to make your dreams reality!
What ignites your passion? Relive the dreams that you’ve already turned into reality and add them to your “Done” list. Be grateful for your life and who you are! Share your accomplishments, goals and dreams to inspire others. Keep filling buckets and paying it forward!
Love and Be Loved. Love others and open yourself up to being loved in return. Stop discriminating, hating, judging and bullying. Fill buckets instead of emptying them! Love never fails.
Plain and simple, you say? Then start to dream, live, inspire and love each and every day
What's the biggest mistake you've made with your business and what did you learn from it??
My biggest mistake is forgetting to focus on profits. I'm a helper by nature, but I also need to earn a living! I can get so caught up in the idea and the passion and giving back that I forget to define a solid business model that can bring a return on the investment of all my time and energy.
what big goal do you have for your company and how do you plan to achieve it?
At one point I had a goal to earn a million dollars, but then I realized my top priority was to reach and help a million people. I use Facebook and the blog, and a few interesting advertising ideas like Creativity for Sale. I've also applied for TV shows to discuss my personal story and the business. I was taped for the show "The Help Desk" which will be premiering on the Oprah network soon!
what advice or tips do you have for people wanting to start their own business or follow their dreams?
If you want to start your own business, go for it!! One of my favorite quotes from Jack Canfield is, "Everything you want is on the other side of fear." As I said above, it's about creating a mindset of focusing on your dreams each and every day and not getting stuck on autopilot. Don’t let your fears stop you from pursuing your dreams.
